Rapid urbanization has transformed traditional family systems and patterns of social interaction across many societies. Migration to cities for employment and education has contributed to the growth of nuclear families while reducing the prevalence of extended family living arrangements. This study explores the social consequences of urbanization on family relationships, intergenerational support, and community cohesion. It examines changes in parenting, elderly care, social isolation, and neighborhood interaction through qualitative interviews and demographic analysis. The findings reveal that urbanization provides greater educational and employment opportunities but also increases work-related stress, weakens community networks, and reduces family support systems. The research emphasizes the importance of urban planning, family-friendly policies, and community development programs in maintaining social well-being amid rapid urban growth.
