Roles of Parental Involvement and Peer Interaction on Academic Success of Nursery Pupils

Abstract

This research investigated the effect of parental participation and  peer relations on the academic outcomes of Nursery Pupils. A descriptive survey design was accepted, collected data from 150 respondents, which contain 100 parents and 50 educators, by using structured questionnaires, observational checklists, and academic success record.

Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analyses where applied to identify the togetherness or relationship between variables. The results show that both guardian or parental involvement and peer relation significantly support to Nursery pupils academic success, with parental participation applying a strong positive influence. The research highlights the benefit of active parental involvement and structured peer learning environments in pre-primary education. The conclusion stated that both parent engagement and social group essentially predict pre-primary pupil’s educational performance with parental involvement containing a proper effect. Optimizing family encouragement and group learning environment can increase pre-primary education outcomes.

The recommendations include improving parental participation in school activities and strengthening peer interactions to support academic achievement, Further investigation should explain economic interactions and school materials influences, Agencies should foster introduce a clear linkage between school and parent, School should improve events to increase parent engagement, Societies and communities should support pre-primary education.
