Abstract

Urbanization has significantly altered family structures and interpersonal relationships across societies. This research investigates how migration, employment, housing patterns, and modernization influence family dynamics in urban settings. It examines the transition from joint families to nuclear households and the resulting social and emotional impacts. Data collected through interviews and demographic analysis reveal changing caregiving responsibilities and intergenerational relationships. The study highlights both opportunities and challenges associated with urban lifestyles and recommends community support systems to strengthen family well-being.
