Abstract

Digital technology has transformed the way individuals communicate, establish relationships, and participate in social life. Mobile applications, social networking platforms, and instant messaging services have increased global connectivity while changing traditional forms of interpersonal communication. This study examines the effects of digital technology on family relationships, friendships, workplace communication, and community engagement. It also investigates issues such as digital dependency, social isolation, cyberbullying, and declining face-to-face interaction. Using survey research and qualitative interviews, the study explores how different age groups experience these social changes. The findings suggest that although digital technology improves communication efficiency and expands social networks, excessive dependence on digital platforms may reduce the quality of personal relationships. The study recommends promoting healthy digital habits and encouraging balanced online and offline social interactions.
