Abstract

Growing environmental concerns have encouraged consumers to adopt more sustainable lifestyles and purchasing behaviors. This study examines the relationship between environmental awareness and sustainable consumption among young adults. It investigates factors influencing eco-friendly purchasing decisions, including environmental education, social influence, product labeling, and government regulations. Survey findings indicate that environmentally conscious consumers are more likely to purchase sustainable products despite higher prices. However, financial constraints and limited product availability remain significant barriers. The study recommends strengthening environmental education and encouraging businesses to adopt sustainable production practices.
